A reflection on Trends, Networks and Criticial Thinking

When I first heard about Trends, Networks, and Critical Thinking as our subject for the second semester, I clearly had not that much of an idea on what it is all about. What I had in mind was basically talking about trends in our country and in the world. Which did not fail me because trends was the first topic that we talked about during our first meeting with our professor in the subject. Something about gigatrends. megatrends etc. I have realized that TNCT was an interesting subject because it made me gain knowledge and learn about things that I did not know about before or things that I did not realize back then when I did not know this subject yet. It has somewhat helped me to be open minded and to think deeply on topics or issues regarding the government, people etc. It has taught me to be critical on matters that I think is shallow back then. When it comes to my experiences in this subject, I can share some insights that I have realized. TNCT was our first subject within a 7 ...

On February 12-15, 2018, The University of Santo Tomas Simbahayan Community Development Office welcomed the different partner communities in the Pistang Tomas trade fair that is celebrated yearly at the UST Quadricentennial Park. It is said that it aims to promote self-responsibility through sustainable livelihood and development. Honestly, at first, I was not truly aware about Pistang Tomas and its goals and happenings until our professor in the subject TNCT (Trends, Networks and Critical thinking) told us that there is an event that is week long and he wanted us to visit the bazaars and buy at least three items that are sold. I also saw the parade of each communities that was held because they passed in front of our building and my classmate and I were exactly outside, so talk about perfect timing.
